Prime Minister Narendra Modi engaged in a lively interaction on Sunday with 250 students from Jammu and Kashmir, part of the 'Watan Ko Jano' programme, held in the national capital. Expressing admiration for the students' enthusiasm, the Prime Minister emphasised their pivotal role in India's journey towards development.

The interaction unfolded at Modi's residence, where nearly 250 underprivileged students from various districts of Jammu and Kashmir, participating in the "Watan Ko Jano-Youth Exchange" initiative, engaged in a freewheeling and informal conversation with the Prime Minister. As part of the Central government's programme, these students are touring Jaipur, Ajmer, and New Delhi.

Prime Minister Modi delved into discussions with the students about their travel experiences, the landmarks they visited, and the vibrant sports culture prevalent in the region. He highlighted the sporting achievements of Jammu and Kashmir, specifically acknowledging Sheetal Devi, a young archer who secured three medals at



the Asian Para Games in Hangzhou.

Modi commended the talent and potential of the region's youth, encouraging them to excel in diverse fields and contribute significantly to the nation's development. PM Modi urged the students to actively participate in shaping India's future, emphasising the collective effort needed to achieve the dream of 'Viksit Bharat @2047'.

He also discussed infrastructural developments, citing the construction of the world's highest railway bridge in Jammu and Kashmir, and celebrated India's recent space successes, including Chandrayaan-3 and the Aditya-L1 mission. Regarding the tourism surge in Jammu and Kashmir, the Prime Minister highlighted the immense potential in the tourism sector, encouraging students to explore the benefits.

Several students lauded the developmental initiatives brought about by the government in the Union Territory. One student particularly appreciated PM Modi's remark about not feeling tired from work, highlighting it as an inspiring aspect.
