Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the online hackathon finale through a video conference. The Smart India Hackathon 2020 (Software) will be held from August 1 to 3 and it is the largest ever online hackathon in the world.
The online hackathon is being conducted by the HRD ministry’s All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Persistent Systems and
i4c.
The winning team in the hackathon will get a reward of Rs 1 lakh, the second team will get Rs 75,000, and the third team will get Rs 50,000.
Last year, the hackathon took place in March, but it was delayed this year due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
HRD Minister Ramesh Nishank Pokhriyal announced the news about the PM’s plan to address the grand finale on Twitter.
