Laying
foundation stone for second phase of works of BITS Pilani at Shamirpet on the
outskirts of the city, KTR said the TRS government will be coming up with a
Private Universities Bill. It is likely that the Bill will be introduced in the
upcoming Budget session of State Assembly in the first week of March. The IT
Minister said the second phase of BITS Pilani works being taken up at a cost of
Rs 370 crore. He expressed satisfaction on the expansion plans of the noted institution
and pledged to make Shamirpet an education hub as it has another international
level Law Institute NALSAR nearby the BITS Pilani institute. The State
Government will take all steps to transform the city into an education hub
as
major institutions are expanding their plans here, he added.
The TRS Government, under stewardship of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was giving priority to quality education with world class standards to surpass others. These new institutions will not only impart the best education among the students in the chosen fields, but also able to supply the well-trained and thoroughly equipped graduates to the core, he remarked. He exuded confidence that such institutions will boost the State government policies to encourage the noted education centers to begin their academic calendar. He also hinted at the government proposal of KG to PG scheme to offer intensive free education to students to excel in their own classes and surpass others. The State government was planning to launch this free intensive education for all to improve the standards of the students from 2016-17 academic year.
