With the rate of new Covid-19 cases going down, Pune schools are set to reopen from February 1, as per Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar. He also provided more details about how education institutes will slowly resume normal functioning with the reduction of Covid-19 cases.
Students of Classes 1 to 8 will be attending schools in Pune city and district for
half of the regular timings. Pawar said that this was a temporary arrangement and that further decisions will be taken at a future meeting keeping in mind the Covid-19 situation at that time.
Classes 9 to 10 will attend school in regular timings and colleges will also function normally in Pune. But parental consent will be needed for students to attend physical classes.
