Punjab CM declares to promote students of Class 10 without exam

Punjab Chief Minister Amarinder Singh has announced that class 10th students will be promoted to the next grade on the basis of their performance in the pre-Board exams.

Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) was supposed to conduct the PSEB 10th exams 2020 from March 17 to April 13 this year. However, it was postponed due to coronavirus outbreak in the country,

PSEB 12th exams 2020 last subject paper which is pending, he said the state government will follow the decision the Central government will make.

"Have decided to promote students of Class V & VIII to next classes as well as to promote class X students to next class on the basis of pre-board results. For Class XII examinations, we will follow the Government of India's decision," he tweeted.
