The Rajasthan government has issued orders for Rajasthan schools to reopen for classes 9 to 12 from January 18 following Covid-19 safety protocols. As per reports in late December, Rajasthan was planning to reopen schools in January 2021 on a trial basis.
The Education Department of Rajasthan had sent a proposal to the state government, suggesting
a trial period of 15 days. It was suggested that the trial period would have classes 9 to 12 attending school in a staggered manner, after which a final decision would be taken to reopen Rajasthan schools.
The state government would be reopening schools with all Covid-19 precautions in place. Schools in the state have been closed since March 2020.
