The National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the result of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2020 yesterday i.e. October 16. Following the result announcement, Education Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal talked about the conduction of the exam amid a pandemic.
Ramesh Pokhriyal shared a video on Twitter where he thanked the National Testing Agency and the chief ministers of all the states. He also talked about how the exams were conducted during “testing” times due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
In his tweet, he wrote, “I thank NTA for giving a new cohort of doctors this year. Exams were conducted during ‘testing’ times and the spirit of cooperative federalism was clearly visible. I thank all the chief ministers for the same.”
The NEET 2020 result was declared yesterday, October 16, after a special
examination for the same was conducted on October 14, for all the students who could not appear for the exam in September due to the ongoing pandemic.
The union education minister also posted a short video on his Twitter account, talking about the NEET 2020 examination after the result was announced. He also offered some words of encouragement for the students who appeared for the exams this year.
In the video, he motivated the students who could not clear the NEET 2020 exams this year and said, “An exam cannot define you. The country needs your intellect and acumen in those sectors."
He further added, “The eligibility test of NEET is one of the examples of One Nation - One Exam.” The NEET 2020 examination was conducted on September 13, 2020 this year. The exam was delayed several times due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic.
