Prime Minister Narendra Modi, through a video conferencing event on Saturday, distributed over 50,000 appointment letters to recently recruited individuals. During the event, the Prime Minister highlighted the success of the Rozgar Mela, a job fair, and its significant impact on youth employment.

Speaking on the occasion, the Prime Minister said that till now lakhs of youth have been given appointment letters for government jobs under the Rozgar Mela.

He mentioned that the Rozgar Mela initiative was launched in October last year and has since been organised at various locations across the country, both at the central level and in BJP-ruled states.

The Rozgar Mela is being held at 37 different locations nationwide, facilitating recruitment across various Central Government Departments as well as State governments and Union Territories that support the

initiative.

These new recruits will join different Ministries and Departments, such as the Ministry of Railways, Department of Posts, Ministry of Home Affairs, Department of Revenue, Department of Higher Education, Department of School Education and Literacy, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, among others.

The Rozgar Mela aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's commitment to prioritise employment generation. It is expected to accelerate the creation of new job opportunities, empowering the youth and fostering their participation in national development.

In addition to securing employment, the newly inducted appointees will have the chance to enhance their skills through the Karmayogi Prarambh programme—an online module available on the iGOT Karmayogi portal. This portal offers access to more than 750 e-learning courses, promoting flexible and accessible learning across various devices.
