Supreme Court has allowed students who missed NEET 2020 because of Covid-19 infection or because of residing in containment zones to appear for the test on October 14. The NEET 2020 results would be declared on October 16 for all the NEET aspirants those who appeared for NEET back on September 13 and those who would appear on October 14.
The NEET 2020 results were being expected today but have now been delayed.
NEET 2020 was held in various exam centres across India on September 13 amidst all the Covid-19 safety measures in place as per the SOPs and guidelines released by the government.
Supreme Court had earlier turned down petitions to postpone JEE 2020 and
NEET 2020 because of coronavirus concerns. The apex court said that students couldn’t lose a full year because of a pandemic.
As per information, nearly 90 percent of the total candidates appeared for the NEET 2020 exam on September 13 held at over 3,800 centres across the. Based on random sampling, NTA said that the NEET 2020 examination attendance was between 85 to 90 percent.
Free transportation and accommodation were announced by various state governments, including West Bengal that ran a special metro service for the candidates.
It was announced then that those who weren’t able to appear for NEET 2020 due to Covid-19 would get another chance for the same.
