A petition has been submitted to Supreme Court on behalf of students of CBSE, CISCE and NIOS boards against the board exams for Classes 10 and 12 being held offline. Supreme Court will hear the petition on February 21.

Students from 15 states filed applications and demanded to be conducted through alternative

evaluation method instead of offline examination.

The petition calls for alternate methods of assessing students of Classes 10, 11 and 12 in CBSE, CISCE, NIOS and state boards instead of holding offline board exams. It also asks for holding an improvement exam for those who are dissatisfied with the internal assessment exams.
