In view of the sudden rise in the number of Covid-19 cases being reported in the area, the educational institutes in Nagpur, Maharashtra will remain closed till March 7, 2021, for the safety of the students and the staff.
All the educational institutes in Nagpur, including colleges, universities, schools, training, and coaching institutes, will remain closed till March 7, after which the authorities will review the Covid-19 situation in the area and reopening them
accordingly.
Power Minister Nitin Raut stated that a partial lockdown is being imposed in Nagpur due to the sudden spike in the number of Covid-19 cases in the city. The weekly markets in Nagpur have also been shut down till March 7 to control the situation.
In the last three days, 2000 people have been tested Covid-19 positive in Nagpur. Raut, who is the guardian minister of Nagpur, held an emergency meeting today to review the Covid-19 situation in the area and decided on imposing restrictions in the city.
