The government of Bihar has decided to reopen the schools from March 1 for the students of classes 1 to 5, after nearly a year of closure of schools due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Students will have to follow several safety guidelines on school premises as well.

The government of Bihar has issued a list of Covid-19 guidelines for all the schools to follow for the resumption of classes from March 1. The government will also ensure that these guidelines are being followed strictly by the school authorities amid

the pandemic situation.

As of now, the schools for the junior classes will only reopen with 50 percent attendance in the classrooms. Schools across the state will be allowed to hold classes for each batch on alternate days to avoid overcrowding on the premises.

The schools in Bihar were shut down in March 2020 due to the rapid spread of the Covid-19 pandemic and the nationwide lockdown. During this time, all the academic activities in education institutes were taking place through online platforms.
