Schools in Haryana to re-open: Haryana Education Department has released a letter on Wednesday, July 01, 2020, mentioning about summer holidays from July 01 to July 27, 2020. The letter is indicating that schools might re-open after July 27. However, the universities will remain closed until July 31, 2020.

It is not sure whether the colleges will open after July 31, as the state government has mentioned that further decision on re-opening higher education centre is yet to be finalized as they will consult with vice-chancellors and all stakeholders.

Meanwhile, the government has



encouraged online studies and said, "e-learning for the students may be continued"

Earlier, the Haryana Education Minister Kanwar Pal Gujjar affirmed that schools would open in a phase manner from July, however, colleges and universities will open from August.

The minister has said, "We will do it in a phased manner by starting teaching work for classes 10, 11 and 12 on July 1; for classes 6, 7, 8 and 9 after 15 days; and for the primary classes from August."

In order to ensure safety to students, the classes will be held in shifts taking care of social distancing.
