After the winter break, schools in the Kargil district of Ladakh will be reopening for physical classes from next month. This is in accordance with an official order that was issued on Saturday. According to the order, this decision to resume all government and private schools was taken after a fresh review of the Covid-19 situation in the district was done.
The orders, which were issued by Kargil Deputy
Commissioner Santosh Sukhadeve, stated that government and private schools will resume after the winter vacation with effect from March 1 for Classes 6 to 12.
It also mentioned that this decision was taken in consideration of the improved Covid-19 situation in the district.
Further, commenting on the status of reopening for schools up to Class 5, the order stated that they will commence from March 11.
