Kerala government is planning to reopen schools from June 1, 2020, as per several media reports. They decided to take this step so that life for the citizen of the state comes back to normal after the lockdown ends, if the situation is under control. The government has decided to take several steps to maintain a safe environment for the students when they go back to school.
The students will be required to take safety and hygiene measures while attending classes in their schools.
They will also be required to wear a mask at all times while attending classes. These measures will be taken to ensure that the students don’t end up getting infected.
The government has also planned to launch online teacher training programmes to help the teachers understand how to educate the students using online methods and portals. This is being done as the classes in all schools have been suspended for the time being and learning is only taking place through online classes.
