The Bollywood actor Sonu Sood has added another feather to his cap of philanthropy as he announces a scholarship programme for IAS aspirants on the13th death anniversary of his mother, Saroj Sood, on Tuesday, October 13, 2020. After helping innumerable migrants reaching their homes during the lockdown period, the actor can be seen extending his hand for students.
Although the actor launched Scholify, a scholarship programme for everyone, in September, he launched the IAS specific scholarship on the death anniversary of his mother.
Sonu Sood announced help for students at the time of the Joint Engineering Entrance (JEE) exam and National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). He has been providing free education and medical facilities to kids and can be seen actively participating
in employment drives. He has also created apps to provide scholarships, employment and the likes to help migrants.
Sonu Sood is getting appreciated for the work he is doing in the wake of the Covid-19. He received the SDG Special Humanitarian Action Award by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
Sharing the news, he tweeted on Tuesday afternoon, “October 13; 13 years since My Mother passed. She left behind a legacy of Education. On her anniversary today, I pledge to support IAS aspirants reach their goals thru Prof Saroj Sood Scholarships. Seeking blessings Miss you maa. @Scholifyme."
Earlier, he had teased fans with an image late Monday with the message, “A Big initiative for aspiring IAS officers launching tomorrow. A Sonu Sood initiative.”
