SSC public exams commence on a smooth note in Telangana

Four malpractice cases were booked and three invigilators have been relieved during the SSC Public Examinations that commenced across the State on Monday.

One invigilator in Khammam was relieved by an observer deputed by the School Education department due to slackness and negligence in performing the examination duties, while two other invigilators in Kumram Bheem Asifabad district were removed as the DEO caught some students who sneaked into exam hall with chits.

Barring these cases, the first language examination passed off peacefully. A total of 4,94,877 regular students allotted to different centres and 4,93,417 appeared



for the examination. Similarly, 1,261 private candidates registered 883 were present.

The exam was conducted from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm. Five minutes grace time i.e., till 9.35 am was given to students to enter the centres.

A total of 30,000 invigilators and 2,676 each chief superintendents and departmental officers have been deputed on examination duties at 2,676 centres.

To curb malpractices in exams, 144 flying squad teams were constituted besides the DEOs concerned arranged sitting squads in problematic centres. Second language exam will be held on Tuesday and the last exam is scheduled for April 2.
