The High Court at Hyderabad by lifting the stay order has paved the way for declaration of results of Telangana State Eligibility Test (TS-SET). Justice S V Bhatt passed orders to this effect on Friday taking into consideration the judgment of Kerala High Court in a similar issue.
The judge commented that thousands of unemployed were eagerly waiting for these results and it is unfair to stop them for the sake of one person. It may be recalled one research scholar from Adilabad district, Dattatri, had filed a writ petition challenging the announcement made that the
results would be announced as per UGC guidelines and not as per the guidelines announced before the TS-SET examination.
The single judge, while hearing the case on June 7 observed that this amounted to changing the rules of the game after the game began and in an interim order stayed the announcement of results.Aggrieved by this order, TS-SET Secretary and University filed vacate stay petition and Justice S V Bhatt lifted the stay and directed the respondents to file detailed counter affidavits in the main writ petition.
