The Ashok Gehlot-led Rajasthan government has decided that unlike the previous academic year, students will not be promoted without examinations being held in the current academic year. The state government, under its new initiative, 'Come Learn At Home', has urged students to study at home.
"In the midst of rising Covid-19 infection for ensuring continuity in learning of students education department has started a new initiative, 'Come Learn At Home'," said the state educationd epartment.
"Students of classes 19 and 11 should study at home itself, this year promotion will not happen without examination," Department of Education, Government of Rajasthan,
mentioned.
The Rajasthan government has issued an order mentioning that school, colleges, educational and coaching institutes and regular class activities shall remain closed for students in the state till November 30.
Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot and Education Minister Govind Singh Dotasra have held several high-level meetings along with officials regarding the opening of schools that have remained shut in the state for more than seven months due to the Coronavirus pandemic.
The education minister has also made the chief minister aware of the SOP prepared by the education department for the reopening of schools in the state.
