Tamil Nadu Chief Minister Edappadi Palanisamy made an important announcement at the Assembly under Rule 110 regarding the final examinations for clases 9 to 11. According to the announcement, the final exam for classes 9, 10, and 11 will be cancelled in the state.
The CM confirmed that the students of the above-mentioned classes will be passed to the next class without any examination being
conducted in the 2020-21 academic year.
According to CM Palanisamy, the decision to cancel exams for classes 9, 10, and 11 was taken after the government had received many requests from the parents, teachers, and educators for the same.
The decision to cancel exams was taken by the government keeping in consideration the unusual situation faced by the students this year due to Covid-19.
