IT Minister KT Rama Rao today said that TASK (Telangana Academy of Skill and Knowledge) is offering training in soft skills to engineering students of various courses to get jobs in corporate and IT companies.
At a program he reviewed the TASK functioning and said that it has so far been provided
training in soft skills and knowledge to 18000 students of 198 colleges. The TASK is set up to encourage the students get adequate knowledge in basic IT skills, English, soft skills, reasoning and aptitude he said. The training to engineering graduates will positively pave way for getting jobs in corporate, IT and IT enabled and other companies through soft skills and other knowledge he hoped. The IT minister also said that the TASK will expand its services to further provide training to get more employment. He claimed that about 50 per cent of 175 students selected from various districts got jobs in IT sector after training on pilot basis. Professors of practice gave short term training to 13000 students of 151 engineering and MCA colleges and 8500 students got training in technology skills are likely to get jobs, KTR said.
