The Telangana Govt has approved to sanction a Jawaharlal Nehru Technology University (JNTU) for southern Telangana in Mahabubnagar district.
Sandeep Makthala, president of the Telangana Information Society, said: “The credit for sanctioning JNTU for southern Telangana comes from the Minister of Agriculture, S Niranjan
Reddy.”
According to the government, the college will be ready by 2023 and the classes will also take place from the coming academic year. State Agriculture Minister S Niranjana Reddy said: “The establishment of JNTU in the then Mahabubnagar will benefit many students.”
JNTU has so far been set up in Hyderabad, Kondagutta, Manthani, Karimnagar and Sultanpur in Telangana.
