All schools in the State will get textbooks by March 20 and it will be in the hands of the students by June 15. Free distribution of textbooks have already commenced and so far 79.54 percent of books have been dispatched to the district points.

Deputy Chief Minister, Kadiyam Srihari, who is also the Education Minister, informed the Legislative Council during question hour on



Wednesday that government had placed orders with 42 private printers for printing of 1.74 crore of textbooks for the academic year 2017-18.
Instructions were also issued to the District Collectors and DEOs to gear up for distribution of the textbooks. If any school fails to receive the textbooks complaint can be lodged on the toll free number 18004257462, Srihari said.
