Torrential rain: Govt and govt-aided schools in Delhi declared holiday for classes nursery to fifth

In the wake of heavy rainfall in the national capital, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi Education Department issued an official notice announcing that all MCD schools, MCD-aided and Recognised schools will remain closed for students on Tuesday (July 11) in Delhi. Along with this, the Directorate of Education in Delhi has also declared holiday for students of classes Nursery to fifth in all government and government-aided schools.

"In view of the heavy rainfall and the alert issued by the Indian



Meteorological Department (IMD) regarding adverse weather conditions in Delhi, it has been decided that all MCD schools, MCD Aided, and Recognised schools will remain closed for students on 11.07 2023 for the well-being of our students in light of the inclement weather conditions," reads the official notification. 

With this, the Municipal Corporation of Delhi Education Department has ordered to inform the students well in advance, about the closure of the schools on Tuesday so that they do not venture out.
