Telangana State Engineering, Agriculture and Medical Common Entrance Test (TS EAMCET) 2022, only 70 per cent of the syllabus in both first and second year intermediate will be covered for the entrance test.
The move comes in the wake of the Telangana State Board of Intermediate Education deciding to cover only 70 per cent of the total syllabus for intermediate public examinations as the required number of physical classes could not be conducted during the academic year 2021-22 due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
A formal announcement regarding reduction of syllabus in the TS EAMCET 2022 is expected to be made by the Telangana State Council of
Higher Education (TSCHE) after the Common Entrance Test committee meeting scheduled for Monday.
Last year, 100 per cent syllabus in the first year intermediate and 70 per cent syllabus in the second-year were covered for the TS EAMCET. The syllabus was reduced in the second-year intermediate as required physical classes could not be conducted during 2020-21 due to the pandemic and first-year syllabus remained unchanged as students attended physical classes during the academic year 2019-20.
In another major decision, the committee is likely to reduce aggregate marks in intermediate for admissions into various courses through the TS EAMCET 2022.
