Two lakh qualify for JEE advance exam

Nearly two lakh students cleared the JEE Main exam and qualified for the JEE advanced which is scheduled for next month. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on Wednesday  declared the results of Joint Entrance Exam (JEE) Main 2016 which is used to shortlist candidates who want to join IITs and other top engineering colleges.

centrally funded technicalInstitutions will be based on  JEE Main 2016 scores. JEE main exam was held online as well as offline in 132 cities earlier this month. Nearly 12 lakh candidates had taken this exam of which 19,820 had qualified for JEE (advanced) online while 1,78,408 candidates have qualified for JEE (advanced) offline test. JEE advanced exam will be held on May 22.
