The University Grants Commission (UGC) today announced that a mega town hall will be organised in a hybrid format to celebrate the success of Chandrayaan 3. This will be done by connecting about 200 higher educational institutions (HEIs). PM Narendra Modi will address this town hall.

At this event, ISRO scientists will make a presentation, and answer questions of students following the presentation. As of now, the tentative date for the mega town hall is September 4, 5 or

6.

All higher educational institutions have been asked to make the necessary arrangements, and to encourage students and faculty to take active participation in the event “and make it a grand success”.

UGC has also urged higher education institutes to organise activities such as short skits/ film sketches on themes such as ‘India on Moon’, ‘Moon is not far away’, ‘Lunar Journey of New lndia’, ‘Self-reliant lndia’s Chandrayaan’ etc.
