Maulana Azad National Urdu University’s directorate of distance education (DDE) has received UGC approval to start three new post-graduate programmes in Arabic, Islamic Studies and Hindi, besides B Com. According to a communication issued by the Distance Education Bureau (DEB), UGC, the commission has also extended recognition to the six programmes already being offered by the directorate for two more years. These are BA, BSc (BZC, MPC), MA (Urdu, English, History). The
commission, in its 534th meeting held recently, considered the recommendation of the interface committees and approved the ODL programmes for 2018-19 onwards.
In addition to the above mentioned 10 programmes, DDE, MANUU will also offer diplomas in ‘Journalism & Mass Communication’ and ‘Teach English’; and certificate programmes in ‘Proficiency in Urdu through English’ and ‘Functional English’.
