Dy. CM of Telangana State, Mr. K. Sri Hari who is also holding the portfolio of higher education issued instructions to officials of the Dept. of Higher Education to take necessary steps for the implementation of Uniform Educational Calendar for all the private Engineering and Pharmacy colleges for UG and PG Courses. He has also instructed them to complete the process of admission by 30th June and to start classes in all these colleges on 1st July.
He held a review meeting with the officials of the Dept. of Education yesterday. Present in the meeting were Principal Secretary of
Higher Education, Ms. Ranjiv R. Acharya, Chairman of Telangana State Council for Higher Education, Mr. T. Papi Reddy, in-charge Vice Chancellor of JNTU-H, Ms. Sheela Ayar, Director of Higher Education, Mr. G. Kishan and other officials.
Mr. K. Sri Hari told that necessary steps would be taken to ensure adequate attendance in Engineering, Pharmacy and other professional colleges by introducing biometric system. He further told that many private engineering colleges are functioning without the students and they are submitting applications for the reimbursement of tuition fees.
