The University of Hyderabad (UoH) and University of Saskatchewan (UoS), Canada, have signed a generic Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) here on Tuesday.
The MoU was signed by UoH Vice-Chancellor Prof Appa Rao Podile and UoS Vice-Chancellor Prof Peter Stoicheff in the presence of UoH PVC1 and PVC 2 Prof Arun Agarwal and Prof B Raja Shekhar, respectively, Prof N Siva Kumar, Director-International Affairs; Prof Manjula Sritharan, Chairman-MoU Committee; and Prof GS Prasad, coordinator R&D and Director TIE-U.
On the occasion, Prof Rao made a presentation highlighting the achievements of the university and said, “UoH has been selective in
having collaboration with eminent institutions around the world.”
Prof Peter Stoicheff in his presentation said their university was among the top 15 research universities in Canada and ranked in the top 400 Institutions by QS World Rankings.
The delegation, which included Prof James Lee, Executive Director of International Research; Dr Meghna Ramaswamy, Director; Kathryn Warden, Director of Research Profile and Impact; Dr Brij Sinha, Faculty Member in Religious Studies, also visited the School of Life Sciences, UoH, and the Centre for Nanotechnology and interacted with faculty.
