Hyderabad: The University of Hyderabad (UoH) is planning to have complete e-governance system from the next academic year. As part of it, the varsity intends to conduct online examination and also admissions from next academic year. Currently, the university is providing online services for receiving applications for the admission test into various courses offered by it.
Addressing media at Somajiguda Press Club on Tuesday, newly- appointed Vice-Chancellor Appa Rao Podile said e-governance which is partially being implemented in the university will go in for full-scale
implementation from the next academic year.
Podile announced that university would introduce M.Ed course from the next academic year and added that the varsity was under the process of framing syllabus, recruiting faculty and establishing infrastructure for the new department of education.
The Vice-Chancellor said, of the 520 teaching faculty posts in the university, 405 were lying vacant. “Compared to other central universities, the number of vacant posts is very less in UoH. In the next nine to 12 months, the university will recruit as many as possible,” he added.
