The University of Hyderabad (UoH) has been ranked among the top institutions in the Global Round University Ranking (RUR) Ranking 2021.
Out of the 13 Indian institutions figuring in the RUR rankings, UoH was the only university to be ranked after IISc, the IITs and IISER-Pune, in the top six in India, the UoH said on Wednesday.
The university’s global rank stands at 350 in 2021, showing an improvement from the 363 position in 2020, the university said, adding that it’s teaching rank was at 84 globally.
Responding to the rankings, UoH, Vice-Chancellor, Prof.
Appa Rao Podile said, “It’s a great feeling to see that our university is ranked in the top 350 global institutions, and the only Indian university in the top six institutions figuring in RUR. Our faculty have been working on producing excellent research and providing the right motivation for the younger colleagues to emulate in all domains, including teaching.”
The RUR Rankings Agency in partnership with Clarivate Analytics announced the release of RUR 2021 World University Rankings on Tuesday. The RUR is an international ranking of leading world universities published by the RUR Ranking Agency (Moscow, Russia).
