School of Computer and Information Sciences, University of Hyderabad, will start a two-year full-time Master of Technology (M Tech) programme in Information Security (IS) with cyber security as a specialised stream, this year.
Information security is the practice of protecting one’s computer data from those with malicious intent. Lack of IS professionals
concerns major industries as well as governments worldwide.
The course is open to candidates who qualified GATE in 2016, 2017 and 2018. Five out of the 23 seats are for employees with a minimum of two years experience in IT companies registered with STPI or Nasscom or central government organisations.
