UoH to go for students' union polls on Oct 5

The University of Hyderabad (UoH) will go for the election of students’ union for the academic year 2018-19 on October 5 from 9 a.m to 5 p.m. An election schedule was released to this effect.

The polling will be held for the posts of President, Vice-President, General Secretary, Joint Secretary, Cultural Secretary and Sports Secretary, and also for the posts of councillors and school board members in 12 schools in the



university.

The filing of nominations will start from September 27 and end on the same day by 5 p.m. After scrutiny of nominations, the final list of candidates will be announced on September 28 at 9 p.m. September 29-30 and October 1-3 were designated for campaigning while October 4 is a no campaign day. The counting of votes starts on October 6 at 9 a.m and the results will be announced on the same day.
