UP Board exam 2020: Class 12 English paper was leaked 5 hours prior to exam

The Class 12 English question paper of UP Board was leaked in Kaushambi district on Wednesday and went viral on the social media five hours before the examination.

UP Board 12th English Exam was scheduled to be held in the afternoon session i.e. from 2pm and 5.15 pm on 26th February 2020. Following the reports of paper leak surfaced the Kaushambi district magistrate Manish Verma set up an enquiry into the issue. In related news, a team of Uttar Pradesh STF seized a bundle of pre-written copies from Kaushambi during a raid.

authenticity of the paper was confirmed as the question paper that leaked had the code 117-316 (YB) on top and code number J28746 at the bottom of the question paper, which matched with the available question present with the centre superintendents.

There were reports of UP Board Social Science Paper also being leaked in Bareilly District of the state. However, after investigation, it was proven that the paper that was circulated online was a sample paper which was released last year and not the paper that was distributed among the students for the board exam.
