UP Govt decides to cancel Class 10 Board Exams, Class 12 exams to be conducted in July

UP Board Class 10 exams have been cancelled amid the ongoing situation of Covid-19 pandemic. Students will be directly promoted to the next class without exams. Uttar Pradesh Higher Education Board has decided on Saturday to promote more than 29 lakh students enrolled in Class 10 without exams. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath decided to cancel exams after a meeting with Deputy Chief Minister Dinesh Sharma.

Moreover, exams for classes 6, 7, 8, 9, 11 have also



been cancelled, therefore the students will be promoted without exams. However, exams for Class 12 might be conducted during the third week of July if the situation gets normal.

Also, the Class 12 exam pattern will be changed. Earlier, the students were asked to do any 5 questions out of 10, now they can do only 3. Also, the time of the exam used to be 3 hours, now it would be 1.5 hours. However, it all depends on the Covid-19 situation during the end of July.
