Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath announced the closure of schools from classes 1 to 12 until April 30. Moreover, all coaching centres have been shut. However, the pre-scheduled exams will take place. Teachers and school staff would be called to school as per the requirement.
Earlier, it was announced that students of classes 1 to 8 studying in UP government schools would be
promoted to the next class without appearing for any exams. Director General School Education Vijay Kiran Anand issued instructions in this regard to all District Basic Education Officers on Tuesday.
The order also states that the new academic session would begin on April 1, 2021. The promoted children will be evaluated and tested for the competencies of the previous class at the end of April.
