UP schools extends summer vacation till July 2

The summer vacation in government primary and upper primary schools recognised by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council has been extended until July 2.

On Sunday, Pratap Singh Baghel, the Secretary of U P Basic Shiksha Parishad, released a notification announcing the reopening of all primary and upper primary schools in Uttar Pradesh on July 3.

As per reports, Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council has extended the summer vacation dates for the second



time. Initially, schools were supposed to reopen on June 15, 2023. However, the reopening date was rescheduled to June 25, 2023.

Starting from July 3, schools will resume their regular schedule and timetable as previously established. The statement released by the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council ensures that prior to reopening, adequate measures will be taken to ensure the cleanliness of the restrooms, availability of drinking water, and suitable child-friendly seating arrangements.
