Prime Minister Narendra Modi has stated that the newly implemented National Education Policy (NEP) focuses on meeting the needs of a modern and developed India.
He emphasised that the policy prioritises the comprehensive development of children, encompassing knowledge, skills, culture, and the promotion of Indian values.
Speaking at an event in Madhya Pradesh for newly inducted teachers, Modi congratulated over 22,400 individuals who were hired as teachers, many of whom will be placed in tribal areas to benefit children.
"The Central government has implemented the new National Education Policy (NEP) keeping in view the requirements of modern and developed India," PM Modi said in a video message.
Modi highlighted the vital role of teachers in implementing the NEP and emphasized the government's commitment to skill development to
promote employment and self-employment.
He also stated that more than 30 Skill India International Centers will be opened this year to provide training to the youth using new-age technology under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana.
"In this year's budget, 30 Skill India International Centers will be opened where youth will be trained through New Age Technology, and an initiative has been taken to provide training to small artisans through PM Vishwakarma Yojana and also to connect them with MSME," the Prime Minister said.
PM Modi urged teachers to treat their students with the love and care of a mother, and reminded them that the education they impart will shape both the present and the future of the country.
He emphasised that the values teachers instill in their students will have a positive impact on many future generations.
