Web counselling of Eamcet put off

Hyderabad: The scheduled web counselling from Wednesday (July 8) for admissions into Telangana engineering and pharmacy colleges through Eamcet has been put on hold following a court directive on the inclusion of some private colleges in the list of colleges for counselling. 

The postponement of the counselling comes as the Jawaharlal Nehru



Technological University-Hyderabad (JNTU-H) has decided to move the division bench of the High Court against the judgment given by the single Judge. 

Fresh dates for web counselling will be announced later, a JNTU-H communiqué said.  The university has requested the state Advocate-General to take necessary steps for filing an appeal in the court.
