The West Bengal education department is going to commence a new initiative titled 'Paray Sikshalay' which translates to 'neighborhood school'. Under this new initiative, students at the primary and pre-primary level in state-run schools will be provided lessons in open
spaces, an official informed on Sunday.
The 'Paray Sikshalay' will be roping in para-teachers and primary school teachers to impart elementary education to students of classes 1 to 5 as it has received the approval of the State Secretariat 'Nabanna'.
