Western Railways is set to run 46 additional special suburban trains for JEE and NEET candidates to be able to travel smoothly to their exam centres. General passengers will not be able to travel by these trains which will be running only on the exam dates.
While JEE is being held from September 1 to 6, NEET will be held on September 13.
JEE and NEET aspirants residing in Mumbai, along with their parents or guardians, can now use the services of these
trains for a smooth exam experience. JEE Main started off today after a lot of protests regarding holding the entrance exams amidst the Covid-19 pandemic.
The information was shared by Railway Minister Piyush Goel on Twitter.
“Supporting students appearing for NEET & JEE exams, Railways has permitted them, and their guardians to travel by special suburban services in Mumbai on exam days. General passengers are requested not to commute,” he wrote.
