Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has announced the launch of the Mukhyamantri Yuva Udyami Vikas Abhiyan, a self-employment scheme aimed at empowering educated and trained youth across the state. The initiative, unveiled during a presentation by the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) department, is set to play a pivotal role in fostering self-reliance among the state's younger population.
As part of the state budget for the 2024-25 fiscal year, funds have been allocated to this scheme, which intends to provide financial support to one lakh youth annually. The programme will facilitate loans and grants to help establish
micro-enterprises, with the goal of empowering a million youngsters over the next decade.
Chief Minister Adityanath emphasised the importance of offering financial aid across all categories, including general, Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, persons with disabilities, and women. He also stressed the need for comprehensive training in packaging, branding, and marketing to ensure the success of new entrepreneurs.
The government plans to raise awareness about the scheme to encourage more youth to seize this opportunity for self-employment, paving the way for economic independence and growth in the state.
