18th Mumbai International Film Festival will be held in Mumbai from 15th to 21st of June. Briefing media in New Delhi on Friday afternoon, Secretary, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Sanjay Jaju said MIFF screenings will also be held in Delhi, Chennai, Pune and Kolkata.
During the festival, 314 films will be screened from 59 countries. Special theme of the festival is India in Amrit Kaal. A total of 17 films from Japan, Russian, Belarus, Iran, Italy, Vietnam and Mali will be showcased
during the festival. There will be 8 world premieres, 6 international premieres, 17 Asia premieres and 15 India Premieres. Special packages have been curated in this edition, including Award winning films package of Oscars and Berlinale. Opening Film of the film festival will be “Billy and Molly, an Otter Love Story”.
This year for the very first time, MIFF has received corporate collaborations from more than 20 brands in the festival.
