Actor Chandrakanth Died by Suicide

Hyderabad: Actor Chandrakanth, who featured in several TV serials, died reportedly by suicide at his residence in Alkapur Colony, Narsingi police said on Friday. Chandrakanth, popularly known as Chandu, had acted in TV serials like ‘Trinayini’, ‘Radhamma Pelli’ and ‘Kartika Deepam’. He was under immense stress due to marital discord and after his alleged girlfriend died in an



accident. 

Chandrakanth had married Shilpa Prema in 2015 and the couple had two kids. The couple was reportedly estranged. He was reportedly in an extramarital relationship with TV actress Pavitra Jayaram for six years. Pavitra died in a road accident recently, which might have added to his distress, sources said. Police booked a case and have started a probe.
