Telugu actress and TV anchor Udaya Bhanu will soon host an election-related awareness show called "Nigadeesi Adugu" on a private television channel.
"Public has no idea about their MLAs and MPs. There's a strong need to create awareness about the ministers in a constituency such that people there know if he or she is worthy of their votes.
The show will only spread awareness and not support any party or individual," Udaya Bhanu told IANS.
"The show will also find out ministers if they are exercising their duties in their respective constituency. All this will happen on a show, so you can imagine the seriousness of this show. We will take up some issues and discuss about the same with some MLAs and MPs," she said.
The show is likely to go on air in a week.
Known for hosting popular Telugu shows such as "Ah Emi Ruchi" and "Dhee" and "Rangam", Bhanu has also starred in films such as "Leader", "Julayi" and "Madhumati".
