Bollywood actor Akshay Kumar’s app and web portal ‘Bharat ke Veer’ which was launched with an aim to provide financial assistance to the families of martyrs is getting a warm response from people. According to a report published by jansatta.com, people are donating openly to help the families of army jawans who lost their lives in the recent attack that took place in Chhattisgarh’s Sukma. According to the report, donations have come in huge amount in less than 12 hours.

The reports says that Rs 31,162 have been given to Shaheed Head constable KP Singh’s wife and mother while SSI Naresh Kumar’s family has been given an assistance of Rs 28,851. SSI Sanjay Kumar’s family has also been provided with Rs 25,821 as donations are pouring in at a good rate. This app and web portal was launched on 9th April by Akshay Kumar and Home Minister Rajnath Singh to help armed police force and central para military forces.

donated Rs 1.08 crore to the families of CRPF personnel who martyred in a similar attack on 11th March in Sukma. According to an official, the actor approached the Home Ministry as immediately after the incident took place. Following the requests of monetary donation, the ministry has directed the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) to share the bonafide bank account number of the families of the personnel who lost lives in the March 11 attack. The B-town star has donated Rs 9 lakh to the families of each of the 12 martyrs. “Kumar’s gesture exhibits his patriotism and devotion towards the country in general and CRPF in particular,” the paramilitary force said in a statement.
The deceased CRPF personnel were identified as Inspector Jagjit Singh, Assistant Sub-inspectors H B Bhatt and Narender Kumar Singh, head constables Jagdish Prasad Vishnoi and P R Minde and constables Mangesh Pal Pandey, Rampal Singh Yadav, Goraknath, Nand Kumar Patra, Satish Kumar Verma, K Shankar and Suresh Kumar.
