Chitra Bharati Film Festival to begin today in Bhopal

The fourth edition of the renowned Chitra Bharati Film Festival of Bhartiya Chitra Sadhna will start today in Bhopal. Many eminent personalities including actor Akshay Kumar will attend the opening ceremony of the three-day film festival, which runs till March 27.

Earlier, Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan, while inaugurating the Chitra Bharati Film Festival photo exhibition yesterday, said that no stone would be left unturned for film production in the state.

The theme of the photo exhibition is "Kal,Aaj Aur Kal". The Chief Minister also inaugurated



Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi Auditorium. Shri Chouhan stressed on making films that strengthen Indian culture and showing the right direction to society.

In this festival, 712 films in 15 languages were received from 22 states of the country. Out of them selected 120 films will be screened in the categories of short films, campus films, documentaries and animation films.

Union Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting, Dr. L. Murugan will also attend the closing ceremony of the film festival on March 27.
