The Cannes International Film Festival is a huge affair. Like every year, Indian films will be showcased at the prestigious film festival this tme as well. Last year, India was the official Country of Honour. The 10-day festival began on May 16th and will go on till May 27. \
On the opening day, celebrities like Esha Gupta, Guneet Monga (Oscar winner for Elephant Whisperers), Manushi Chhillar, Sara Ali Khan and many others walked the red carpet. Minister of State for Information & Broadcasting L Murugan led the Indian delegation this
year.
There are four Indian films that are scheduled to be screened at Cannes 2023 and they are all contending in different categories.

Kanu Behl’s Agra will debut in the Director’s Fortnight Section
Nehemich, a short film, will make its debut at the Short Film’s Section
Ishanou, a 1990 movie by Aribam Syam Sharma
