Panaji: 46th International Film Festival of India, IFFI will begin today in Panaji, Goa. The Man Who Knew the Infinity, which is a biopic based on the life of mathematical wizard Srinivas Ramanujan, will be the opening film. Whereas Argentina’s Oscar entry and a Argentinean box office hit - 'The Clan will be the closing film of the festival- The Kingdom of Spain will be the focus country of IFFI 2015.
Anil Kapoor will grace the opening ceremony as the Chief Guest, while AR Rahman will be the Chief
Guest at the closing ceremony. IFFI Director C Senthil Rajan said that the International competition will have 15 films from across the globe including countries like Argentina, Belgium, Bolivia, Colombia, France, Germany and Iceland. Two films from Indian Panorama section will also be competing in this section. International Jury is headed by Shekhar Kapur (Chairperson, India) and includes film personalities like Michael Radford, Julia Jentsch, Suha Arraf and Jeon Kyu - Hwan.
